Mr. Habbak moved his practice from the Los Angeles Area to his home town Alexandria, Egypt, after practicing architecture in Los Angeles for more than 9 years.
The firm name was changed from “Habbak Associates” to be “The Shalalat Group, architects.” Named after one of the ancient areas in Alexandria called “Shalalat Gardens” were the firm is located till now.
Shalalat means in Arabic water fall, as the Mahmoudia river a branch from the Nile was ending its way to the Shalalat gardens with some small water falls.
